WW1 - French Statesmen during the First World War
This post presents an excerpt on WW1 - French Statesmen during the First World War, taken from Ратни албум (War Album), 1914–1918, authored by Andra Popović (Андра Поповић) and published in Belgrade in 1926.
Published just a few years after the end of the Great War, the album preserves a valuable visual and documentary record of the people, events, and military leaders associated with the conflict. This first part features several prominent French generals who played important roles in the war, providing a glimpse into the leadership of the French military during one of the defining conflicts of the 20th century.
Beyond its historical content, War Album is also an important contemporary Yugoslav-era source, reflecting how the wartime generation remembered and documented the military figures and events of 1914–1918.
