During the First World War in the village Dobroveni, in today's
Municipality of Novaci, a military post
office of the Serbian army was located. Nearly all members of this post office died as a result of the bombing by
the German aviation on November 29, 1916.

After the end of the war, a monument was erected on the site
by their friends postmen, which read: „Овај им споменик подигоше другови“ (This
monument was erected by their friends).
From the old photos it can be seen that today this monument
is dislocated from the original location and is located in the military Serbiancemetery, next to the village cemetery in Dobroveni village.
